Sensex Opening Bell: Global markets open flat due to sluggishness, Sensex up 100 points, Nifty crosses 17300

After the slowdown in the low market, the Indian markets also opened flat. On Wednesday, when the market opened, the Sensex rose 100 points to 58255 points while the Nifty is trading up 17300. There were mixed signals from the international market on Wednesday.

There was slight weakness in the US markets amid tensions between China and America. The Dow Jones closed at the day's low, down 400 points.

In the early trade of the market on Wednesday, the stocks of the metal sector are showing strength. Eicher Motors, JSW Steel and Cipla companies are showing strength in Nifty 50 stocks, while Bharti Airtel, Tata, Reliance and Tata Steel are showing strength in S&P BSE Sensex.
