Generally, kheer is prepared with sugar at home, but jaggery kheer is better in winter. Apart from enhancing the taste, it is also beneficial for health. The nature of jaggery is hot, due to which its kheer maintains the warmth of the body. Winters have started and if you also want to taste jaggery kheer at home and have not tried this recipe yet, then do not worry. Today we are going to tell you an easy recipe for making jaggery kheer. The family members will enjoy eating this sweet dish and whenever an opportunity comes again, they will demand to make it.

Ingredients
Rice – 1 cup
Milk – 2 liters
Jaggery – 125 grams
Green cardamom – 4
Dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios) – 1 cup
Chironji (Charoli) – 1 tablespoon
Saffron leaves – 1 pinch
Ghee – 1 tsp

Recipe
- First of all, take rice, wash it thoroughly, and soak it for 10 minutes.
Now take a big vessel with a deep bottom add one spoon of ghee to it and keep it on medium flame.
When the ghee melts, reduce the flame and add cardamom to it add milk and half a cup of water, and heat it.
When the milk starts boiling, add the pre-melted rice it and cook on a medium flame for about 20 minutes.
During this time, keep stirring the kheer with the help of a big spoon so that it does not stick to the vessel.

- Now add chopped almonds, cashews, and chironji and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
Now take jaggery and crush it well. Now add jaggery to the kheer and mix it while stirring.
After this, let the kheer cook on high flame for about 2-3 minutes. Now turn off the gas.
- Jaggery Kheer is ready. You can garnish it with pieces of pistachios, cashews and almonds.
