WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp has a new feature called 'Favorite', users will get benefits like this...
Meta-owned WhatsApp has released a new feature for users. This allows users to easily find the people and groups that are important to them. This new feature allows users to add contacts and groups as favorites, allowing them to filter chats more quickly.
In addition, the favorite filter has also been extended to the call tab on WhatsApp, so that users can speed-dial their family or friends. The company said that this new feature will reach all users in the coming weeks.
This new feature of WhatsApp works as an additional chat filter, which hides all conversations except the messages added as favorites. Chat filters were introduced in April this year, allowing users to view all messages, filter unread messages, or display only group chats. At the moment, there is no information on whether the 'Favorites' filter will come to the desktop and browser versions of the popular instant messaging platform.
For easy access on WhatsApp, set contacts and groups as 'Favorites' like this:
First open WhatsApp and go to your Chats screen. Find and select the 'Favorites' filter to manage your favorite contacts.
Similarly, go to the Calls tab within WhatsApp and tap on Add Favorites to add your favorite contacts or groups.
After this, select the contacts or groups from the list that you want to add to your favorites.
After this, go to WhatsApp Settings by tapping on the three-dot menu from the top right corner of the screen.
After this, navigate to Settings > Favourites > Add to Favourites. After this, confirm your selection to add your contacts or groups to the Favorites list.
