WhatsApp account deactivation
When a WhatsApp account is deactivated, it means that the account is closed temporarily i.e. for some time. The WhatsApp user's account is not deleted. But, the deactivated account gets deleted exactly after 30 days. The deactivated account can be activated with re-registration.
WhatsApp says that when a user's phone is lost or stolen, the WhatsApp account should be deactivated. The same account can be re-registered with a new phone and SIM card.
What happens when a WhatsApp account is deactivated-
If your WhatsApp account is deactivated, your contacts can still see your profile.
Messages can also be sent on a deactivated WhatsApp account, however, these messages remain in pending status for 30 days.
If the deactivated account is not activated for 30 days, then the account is deleted.
Delete WhatsApp account
Delete of WhatsApp account simply means that the account is completely lost. The company says that if a WhatsApp user deletes the account even by mistake, it cannot be stored again. The WhatsApp user cannot regain access to his account.
What happens when a WhatsApp account is deleted-
The WhatsApp account is deleted from all devices.
All the old chat history of WhatsApp messages is erased.
All the groups on WhatsApp will be deleted forever.
All data stored on Google Account backup will be lost.
WhatsApp user is removed from channel admin and followers.
The user's WhatsApp channel will also be permanently deleted.
