The company says that with the Favorite filter, those chats can be kept in a separate tab which is useful for the WhatsApp user. There will be no need to search for such contacts which are important to you in the list of WhatsApp chats. Such contacts will appear separately on the WhatsApp app.

First of all, WhatsApp has to be opened.

Now as soon as you open the app, four tabs will be visible - All, Unread, Favourites, Groups.

You have to tap on Favourites.

Now you have to tap on Add To Favourites.

Now you can choose your important and special people from the list of contacts.

After this, you have to tap on the button with the right symbol visible in green color.

To add another contact, you have to tap on Manage Favourites.

After this, you can add new contacts to the list from Add Favourites.

How to update the list of favorites
If you want to update the list of your favorite contacts on WhatsApp, then you have to click on the Favourites tab.

Now you have to tap on Manage Favourites.

Now you can tap on the delete icon next to the contact you want to delete.

To add new people, you can tap on Add Favourites.

Favorites can also be managed from Settings on WhatsApp-

For this, first, you have to open WhatsApp.

Now you have to click on the three dots on the top right corner.

Now you have to tap on Settings.

Now you have to tap on Favourites.

From here you can add new contacts and delete old ones.
