WhatsApp has been constantly adding new features to its platform since it was acquired by Meta. The instant messaging app is seeing new features one after the other, which claim to take care of users' privacy as well as improve their chatting experience. Now, a new feature has been spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, which adds a 'Favourites' filter box to the app. This will keep the chats of contacts that the user has marked as favorites. Recently, the ability to share 1-minute voice messages as status updates was added to the platform. At the same time, it was earlier revealed that the instant messaging platform is also working on a feature to generate profile photos with Artificial Intelligence (AI). WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in which users will see a new 'Favourites' chat box in the app. The company has given this feature in beta version 2.24.12.7. The new Favorites filter will allow users to filter their favorite chats in a separate box. The website says that this feature is now available to some beta testers and may be available to more beta testers in the coming days. The information about the feature was first shared by WABetaInfo.

We were able to use this feature in the latest beta version of WhatsApp. The new feature works to enhance the chatting experience, as after this you will no longer have to scroll on the screen to find the chat of your favorite person or group. You can add your favorite contact or group chat to the favorites list and after that, you will see the 'Favourites' tab on your home screen, inside which you will find the chats of the users you have added. Below we are telling you the easy way to do this.

How to add your contact or group to Favourites?

The first and easiest way to do this is to tap and hold on to the chat box of your favorite person or group, after which you have to tap on the three-dot menu option on the top right. Here you will get the option of 'Add to Favourites'.

On the other hand, if you want to add multiple people or groups at once, then the second option is convenient for you. You have to go to Settings inside the app. Here you will see the 'Favourites' option. Now tap on 'Add Favourite' inside this option select your favorite contacts or groups and tap on the green tick button at the bottom.
