On the holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees throng to all the Ganesh temples of the city, one such Ganesh temple is known as Ganesh Ji of the canal. This temple is about 250 years old. This temple is situated at the foothills of Nahargarh hill. Has happened. Due to being situated at the foothills of the hill, this temple became famous by the name of Ganesh ji of the canal. Here Lord Ganesha, facing south with the right trunk, is seated. There is also a big belief in making upside-down Swastika in this temple. It is said that by drawing Swastika upside down, all the bad things of the people start getting resolved. However, the temple administration never turned the Swastika upside down. By doing this here, the wishes of many devotees were fulfilled, after which the devotees coming here started making upside-down Swastika. The special thing about this temple is that Ganesh ji of the canal is made to wear traditional royal attire.

A unique tradition in Canal Ganesh Ji Temple
Where is it said about Ganapati seated here that here Lord Ganesha is worshiped with his trunk facing towards the right side and Dakshina facing away? In this way, the statue is for Tantra Vidhan. The weight of this gem and got a-leaf studded dress is 20 kg. This dress is made by special artisans. Zari dress has been considered Jaipuri pride since ancient times. Also, Lord Ganesha is specially decorated. There is a huge crowd of devotees in this temple every Wednesday.

Like every year, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated here with great pomp and show. Worship programs will start in the temple from morning itself and special worship of Lord Ganapati will be done according to different times and moments. Keeping in view the crowd of devotees, the temple administration has made all the arrangements here. Because Lord Garh Ganesha is also present on the hill of this temple, devotees come to visit two temples at one place.
