Every person starts any new work in his life in the name of the first worshipable Lord Ganesha. Although there are many Ganesh temples in Jaipur, the country's first temple of Lord Ganesha without a trunk is situated on the Aravalli mountain. People come from far and wide to visit the Ganesh temple here on Ganesh Chaturthi. Darshan is of great importance on this day. This temple is famous by the name of Garh Ganesh. It is said that for the establishment of Jaipur in the 18th century, Sawai Jai Singh had called pundits from Gujarat here and performed Ashwamedha Yagya and established the Garh Ganesh Temple. Then the foundation of Jaipur city was laid. In this temple, the idol of Lord Ganesha was installed in the northern direction so that the eyes of Lord Shri Ganesha would remain intact and his blessings would remain on the entire Jaipur.

Devotees have to make efforts to go to the temple
One has to climb 365 steps to reach the temple at a height of 500 feet. Every day there is a rush of devotees to have darshan of Lord Ganesha. There is a ban on photography and videography in this temple. You can only have the darshan of God, that is why no photo of Lord Ganesha was revealed for 300 years.

Maharaja used to have darshan directly from the roof of the City Palace
The temple was constructed in such a way that the king could stand from the City Palace and have darshan of the Aarti in the temple every morning and evening. Garh Ganesh, Govind Dev Temple, City Palace, and Albert Hall located on the hill were built parallel to each other in the same direction, which could be seen from a distance.

Those who visit Lord Ganesha here have special faith in Lord Ganesha. Devotees who come regularly here believe that by writing a letter to Lord Ganesha, they tell their feelings to Lord Ganesha and then ask him to fulfill also by visiting Garh Ganesha on seven consecutive Wednesdays, every wish made Garh Ganesha gets fulfilled. There are two rats installed at the main entrance after climbing the stairs in the temple premises, in whose ears the devotees go after telling their wishes. Rats convey those wishes to Bal Ganesha.
