Babru
To make this dish, firstly soak black gram dal in water overnight or for 5-6 hours. After this, remove the excess water and make a paste by putting the lentils in a blender. Now mix wheat flour, 1/2 cup refined oil, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well and knead them into a soft dough with the help of water. Take small portions of the roll and add black gram paste to each portion. Roll it back into a puri shape. Fry on both sides till they puff up and get cooked evenly. Serve it hot with any vegetable, tamarind chutney or pickle.

Dham is one of the most common and traditional dishes prepared at festivals in Himachal Pradesh. Dham is also given in the form of prasad on auspicious occasions in temples.
