To overcome the problem of acidity, you can consume celery. It contains a compound called thymol which releases gastric juice in the stomach which promotes the digestion process.

How to consume

  • Soak one spoon of celery in water overnight. Filter the water and drink it the next morning.
  • Apart from this, you can also eat celery by chewing it.
  • You can also prepare celery tea and drink it. Boil one spoon of celery in a glass of water and drink it.


You can also consume cumin. It works as an excellent acid neutralizer that aids digestion and removes acidity. Cumin is rich in antioxidants which boosts metabolism and also improves digestion. Soak cumin seeds in a glass of water overnight. Filter the water and drink it the next morning. Apart from this, it can also be drunk as tea. Consuming roasted cumin seeds with water also provides relief from acidity.


You can also get benefits by consuming fennel. Fennel is rich in fibre. At the same time, its nature is also cold due to which it is very helpful in improving digestion. You can drink fennel tea. To make this, heat a cup of water add one spoon of fennel in it and boil it. Drink it lukewarm after 3 to 4 minutes. This provides relief from acidity and bloating.
