Not only this but to encourage online payment, discounts ranging from 2 to 15 percent are given. Whereas women and senior citizens are given additional concessions.

Property ID is required while paying property tax online. Actually, every time at the time of property registration, the civic bodies give you a unique identification number or property ID. You have to quote the property ID in returns and correspondence. It is important to remember the last property ID received for the property. Through this ID, you can file your returns in the coming years also. But if you have forgotten the ID then there is no need to panic, you can go to the website and search for your previous ID.

-With the example of Delhi you will understand how you have to pay taxes. First of all, you have to click on -After this, you will have to choose your municipal corporation. There are three municipal corporations in Delhi – North Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, and East Delhi Municipal Corporation. -Read all the terms and conditions carefully and after that, you have to click on the box “I have read all the terms and conditions and I accept them”. -After this click on the button “File your property tax here”.


Fill in your property ID and submit. -Your ledger page number, type of ownership, type of property (residential DDA flat or agricultural property), housing colony, house number, other details, phone number, floor number, covered area, etc. will be pre-filled. Check all these once again. -After this choose payment mode-debit card, credit card, and netbanking.

-Make payment and get your receipt. Do get it printed. -After completion of the payment process, save the challan.
