Spicy Tawa Idli Recipe: By now you must be eating idli with sambar, but how about a slightly different version of idli? Famous chef Ranveer Brar has shared such a very tasty recipe of Idli on his Instagram account, on seeing which you will want to cook and eat once. The name of this recipe is Tawa Idli. Let's know what the ingredients and method are told by Chef Ranveer Brar to make it.

Ingredients for Tawa Idli
Butter - 3 tbsp
Onion - 1 chopped
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Red chili and garlic chutney - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1 chopped
Capsicum - 1 chopped
Green chili - 1 chopped
Red chili powder - ½ tsp
Pav Bhaji Masala - 1 tsp
water - as required
salt - as per taste
Idli – 5-6 cut into four pieces
Lemon juice - half a small lemon
Butter - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped

Tawa Idli Recipe
Finely chop onion, capsicum, tomato, and green chili. Keep a pan on the gas stove and heat it. Put butter in it. Then add onion and fry till it turns brown. Now add ginger and garlic paste, red chili, and garlic chutney, and cook for half a minute. Now put chopped tomatoes in it and cook till it becomes soft. Add capsicum, green chili, red chili powder, and pav bhaji masala and fry for one more minute.

Now add water, and salt as per taste and mix well. Cut the idli into four small pieces. Put it in the mixture and stir it with light hands. Cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Finally put lemon juice, a little more butter, and finely chopped coriander leaves in it and turn off the gas. Take it out on a plate and serve it hot. You can also garnish with pav bhaji masala and coriander leaves from above.
