Shri Amarnath Yatra 2023: Special care will be taken for the health and food and drink of the devotees going on Amarnath ji's journey. Neither Halwa nor Jalebi will be available to eat on the way. Paratha and Laddu, Khoya Barfi will also stay away. Devotees will be served only that food in the langars, which will keep their health fit. Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board has released the food list for the langars. Langar organizations have been asked to serve only healthy and nutritious food to the devotees. This step has been taken to keep the devotees healthy.

Please tell that registration for Amarnath Yatra has started from 17th April. Registration can be done through both online and offline modes. The first batch will leave from Jammu on June 30. This time the Amarnath Yatra will continue till 31st August.
About 120 langars are to be installed on both the Yatra routes. Apart from this, about 50 langars are to be set up from Lakhanpur to Baltal and Pahalgam. The food list issued by the Shrine Board will apply to all langar organizations, food stalls, shops, and other establishments.

There is permission to serve this food
 Cereals, pulses, green vegetables, tomatoes, greens, nutria, soya chunks, plain dal, salad, fruits, plain rice, cumin rice, khichdi, and nutria rice.
- Roti (Phulka), Dal Roti, Missi Roti, Makki Ki Roti, Tandoori Roti, Bread, Kulcha, Double Roti, Rum, Chocolate, Biscuit, Roasted Chana, Jaggery, Sambar, Idli, Uttapam, Poha, Vegetable Sandwich (Cream, without butter and cheese), bread jam, Kashmiri naan.
- Herbal tea, coffee, low-fat curd, sharbat, lemon squash/water, low-fat milk, fruit juice, vegetable soup, mineral drinking water, and glucose (standard packed form) will be available in beverages.
Kheer (rice/sago), oatmeal, figs, apricots, other dry fruits (roasted), vermicelli with low-fat milk, honey, and boiled sweets (candy) will be available. Roasted Papad, Sesame Laddu, Dhokla, Chikki (Gajak), Revdi, Phuliyan, Makhane, Murmura, Dry Petha, Amla Murabba, Green Coconut will be available.

A complete ban on these foods
 Any kind of non-vegetarian food, alcohol, tobacco, gutkha, pan masala, smoking and other intoxicants, puri, bhatura, pizza, burger, stuffed paratha, dosa, fried roti, bread with butter, cream-based food, pickle, Chutney, Fried Papad, Chowmein, and other fried and fast foods.
Cold drinks and pudding, Jalebi, Gulab Jamun, Laddu, Khoya Barfi, Rasgulla and other types of confectionery items, Crunchy snacks (which contain more fat and salt), Chips, Kurkure, Matthi, Namkeen, Pakora, Samosa, Fried dry fruits.
