Sheetala Ashtami 2023: Sheetala Ashtami fast has special significance in Hinduism. This fast starts with Saptami Tithi. One day before Sheetla Ashtami i.e. on the seventh day of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month, clean the kitchen after taking bath etc. So that mother can make bhog for Sheetla with purity. After this make sweet roti and sweet rice with love and devotion.

On the day of Ashtami, get up at sunrise and take a bath after retiring from all work. After this, put on neat clothes. Now take a pledge of fasting by meditating on Maa Sheetla.
