Sarva Pitru Amavasya 2023 Ways to please ancestors
1. Satisfy the ancestors with tarpan

On Sarva Pitru Amavasya, remember your ancestors and offer them water. For this, you use black sesame, kasha, white flowers, and rice. Offer water to the ancestors from the front part of the Kusha. This gives them satisfaction. If you don't have anything then you can satisfy your ancestors with your words. For this, you should meditate on your ancestors and say, O Pitru Dev! I satisfy all of you with my words, may you all be satisfied.

2. Donate to ancestors
On the day of Amavasya, all ancestors, after bathing and offering prayers, donate money to please their ancestors. On this day, one should donate white clothes, bananas, white flowers, black sesame seeds, and curd. Donate these things to a poor Brahmin, then send him off by giving him Dakshina. Instead of money, you can donate any utensil or vessel in Dakshina.

3. Worship Peepal tree
Trinity resides in Peepal. On the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya, worship the Peepal tree after taking a bath, etc. Water its roots with water. After that, in the evening, light a mustard oil lamp under the Peepal tree in the south direction, to show the path to the ancestors. The ancestors are pleased with this and give blessings.

4. Brahmin feast
On Sarva Pitru Amavasya, after Shraddha, offer a feast to the Brahmin. On that day, to satisfy the ancestors, kheer, puri, and pumpkin curry are made. There is a religious belief that by hosting a feast for Brahmins, the ancestors are satisfied. Black sesame, mustard, barley, peas, etc. are used in Shraddha food.

5. Panchabali Karma
On the day of Amavasya, all the ancestors perform Panchabali rituals for their ancestors. In this, a portion of food is given to crow, cow, dog, ants, etc. It is believed that ancestors get food through these creatures.
