Real and fake species of Rudraksha
According to Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma, after scientific tests, the Ileiocarpus ganitrus species has been considered pure Rudraksha, and Ileiocarpus lacunose has been considered as fake species. At present Rudraksh made of plastic and fiber is also being sold in the Indian markets. Many traders are selling wood in the market by giving the shape of Rudraksh or making new Rudraksh by adding broken Rudraksh.

Identify the difference between Rudraksha and Bhadraksh in this way
Original Rudraksha has holes naturally in it. While Bhadraksh is given the form of Rudraksha by piercing it.

If real Rudraksh is immersed in mustard oil, it does not leave its color. While fake Rudraksha leaves its color.

Original Rudraksha sinks when put in water. While the fake Rudraksha floats on top of the water.

To identify the real Rudraksh, if a thread emerges from it when it is scratched with a sharp object, then it is the real Rudraksh.
