Ram Mandir Idol: Lord Ram will sit in Ayodhya in child form like Krishna and there will be a faint smile on his face

According to information received from sources of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the idol of Lord Ram in Ayodhya will be approximately 61 inches high. It will also include a small crown on his head that will be about five inches across.

Janmashtami (6-7 September), the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with full enthusiasm across the country. Of all the forms of Lord Krishna, his child form is liked the most by Krishna devotees. Now Ram devotees will also get an opportunity to see and worship their adored Lord Ram in child form. This will happen because Lord Ram will be installed in the child form in Ayodhya. His statue will be adorned with the softness of a five year old child and a childlike smile.

According to the information received from the sources of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the idol of Lord Ram in Ayodhya will be about 61 inches high. It will also include a small crown on his head that will be about five inches across. It will be placed on a high place so that devotees can have darshan of the Lord from a distance of 35 feet.

How was the height of the statue calculated?

While installing the idol of Lord Ram, it was calculated that the idol of Lord Ram should be kept at such a height that on the day of Ram Navami, the sunlight falls directly on the head of Lord Ram. After their calculations, the scholars of Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) found that this target can be achieved if the idol of Lord Ram is installed on a pedestal 103 inches high from the ground. Only after this the seat and height of the idol were agreed upon and the work of making the idol started.

Thoughts were also given on the forms of Ram

The question of how to install the idol of Lord Ram in Ayodhya was discussed several times in the meetings of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The BJP had used the image of an adult Ram with a bow and arrow during the Ram Mandir movement. This image of God became very popular during the days of Ram Mandir movement.

In this picture, Lord Ram and Mother Sita along with all their brothers and devotees Hanuman are seen sitting on the throne. This image has also been very popular among the people. Even today, people use this type of image the most for worship in their homes. There was also the idea of making such a statue.

Ultimately it was agreed that Ayodhya is remembered as the birthplace of Lord Ram. His childhood days were spent in Dashrath Mahal here and he played sports here in this form. Therefore, devotees should get to see his child form in Ayodhya. Everyone agreed on this form and finally the approval was given to install the idol of Lord Rama in this form.
