In such a situation, recently the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), the organization that handles the money of Provident Fund (PF) accounts, said that the process of depositing interest in the PF account has been started.
What is the interest rate?
The interest on the PF account for FY 22-23 is 8.15 percent. Recently, Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that EPFO has already deposited interest in more than 24 crore accounts. In such a situation, if you are also a member of EPFO, then you can easily check whether the interest money has come into your account or not.
How to check your PF balance?
EPFO employees can check their PF balance in four ways. First through the Umang app, second through the EPFO website, third through SSS, and fourth through missed calls. Let us know what is the step-by-step process.
Umang app
First of all, download the 'UMANG' app from your Play Store or App Store.
After this register on the app for EPFO services.
Then go to 'Services' and select the option 'View Passbook' under 'Employee-Centric Services'.
After this, check your EPF passbook and OTP to check your balance.
EPFO website
First of all, you go to the official website of EPFO.
After this go to 'Our Services' and select the option of 'For Employees'.
To check the balance, you can check the balance by selecting 'Member Passbook' under 'Services'.
Through SMS
If your UAN number is linked to EPFO, you can check your contribution and PF balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899. Write EPFOHO UAN ENG in the message and send it. Note here that write ENG when you want the message in English, if you want the message in Hindi then write HIN.
Through missed call
EPFO users can also know their PF balance through a missed call on 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number. Note here that this number should be linked to your UAN number from your PAN, Aadhaar, and bank account.
