National Pension System New Rules: If you are also taking benefit of the Pension Scheme, then there is important news for you. An important decision has been taken by PFRDA, which will benefit the customers.

Now PFRDA has increased the security of your account. To increase the security of the account, the facility of two-factor authentication has been started.

From now on, you will require two-factor authentication to log in to the CRA (Central Record Keeping Agency) system. Without this, you will not be able to log in. A circular regarding this was issued by PFRDA on 20 February 2024.

The new system will be implemented from April 1-
A system has been created by CRA to complete the activities related to NPS. CRA is a web-based application system. The new login process will go live from April 1, 2024.

What was said in the circular?
In a circular issued by the government on February 20, it has been said that keeping in mind the safety of accessing the CRA system, it has been decided to start the facility of two-factor authentication. This decision has been taken to protect the interests of customers and also to bring extra security features.

NPS is regulated by PFRDA. This pension scheme is run by the central government. The total number of people connected to NPS till September 16, 2023, was 1.36 crore (except NPS Lite)
