Ingredients to make Sabudana Halwa
Sabudana - 1 cup
Cardamom - 4 (ground)
Almonds chopped - 10
Cashew chopped - 10
Saffron threads – (soaked in 1 tsp milk)
Desi ghee - 4 tbsp
Sugar – 1/2 cup

How to make Sabudana Halwa
To make Sabudana Halwa, first, clean the Sabudana and then put it in a utensil and wash it two-three times. After this, soak the sago in water for about 1 hour. During this time the sago will swell and become soft. Now take a nonstick pan, add desi ghee to it, and keep it on a medium flame for heating. When the ghee melts, put soaked sago in it and fry for some time while stirring with a spoon.

When the sago starts to turn light brown after roasting well, then add about 2 cups of water to it. Now let the sago cook while stirring with the help of a spoon. After cooking for some time, the sago will start becoming transparent. After this mix saffron threads in the pan and then add sugar as per taste and mix and let the pudding cook. During this, keep stirring the pudding with a spoon.

It will take 5-7 minutes to cook the halwa. When the sago halwa is completely cooked and the sugar gets mixed with the halwa, add cardamom powder, cashew pieces and almond slivers to it and mix. After cooking the pudding for some more time, turn off the gas. Tasty Sabudana Halwa is ready for fruit diet. Serve it hot.
