It can also be added to khichdi, poha, cheela, etc. If you want, you can also make pea pulao by mixing peas in rice. Many times it happens that we wish to eat pulao instead of plain rice. Matar Pulao can be eaten any time of the day or night. This dish enhances the taste of food. Matar Pulao is very popular in India. It is also very easy to make. The ingredients used to make it are easily available in the kitchen.

Ingredients
Rice-1 cup Basmati rice
Green peas – half cup
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Ginger paste – half teaspoon
Garlic paste – half teaspoon
Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
Pure ghee – half teaspoon
Cinnamon – 1 piece
Cloves – 2-3
Large cardamom – 1
Oil – 1/2 tbsp
Water – as required
Salt - as per taste

Recipe
- First of all clean the rice thoroughly with water. Now soak it in water for 10 minutes.
After this, drain the water from the rice. Put ghee in a pan on gas and heat it.
- Add cloves, cinnamon, and a piece of big cardamom in it. When roasted, add green chili and onion and fry for 1 minute.
When it turns golden brown, add ginger and garlic paste to it.
Now add peas and fry for a minute. Also, put the cleaned rice in the pan and stir well.

- Add salt in it and add water as per requirement. When it starts boiling well, turn on low flame and cover the lid.
- Let it cook for about 8-10 minutes. Remove the lid and check with your hands whether the rice is cooked or not.
- If it is cooked and the water has dried, then turn off the flame. Do not remove the lid immediately. Leave it like this for 5 minutes.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with cheese curry or dal fry etc.
