On this day, we all pray to Goddess Lakshmi that Goddess Lakshmi comes to our homes in the form of Sulakshmi. Therefore, during Diwali, everyone does the work of cleaning and painting their house. So that all the negativity in the house goes out of the house. So Sulakshmi and Gaja Lakshmi enter the house. Gaja Lakshmi means Mother Lakshmi came with Lord Ganesha. Because whenever Mother Lakshmi comes with Lord Ganapati, wisdom also comes in life along with wealth. Indore's famous Astrologer Acharya Pandit Kapil Maharaj is telling about what should be the correct method of worship.

This is the correct method of worship
What should be the correct method of worship on the day of Diwali? Regarding this, famous astrologer Pandit Kapil Maharaj explains that the Kalash we installed on the day of Diwali. A silver coin must be kept inside that urn, those who are not able to keep a silver coin can also keep a normal coin. So that whatever Lakshmi comes to you, it always comes in a full pot. A betel nut should also be kept inside the Kalash so that Lord Ganesha resides there. Tilak should also be applied on the four corners of the Kalash so that Vedas provide wisdom in our home and the Gods of all four directions bless us.

Offer these things to Goddess Lakshmi
We should take some precautions while offering food to Goddess Lakshmi. For example, while offering food to Goddess Lakshmi, one should offer only those things which are very dear to Goddess Lakshmi. Mother Lakshmi loves Kheer very much, hence offering Kheer with saffron to Mother Lakshmi on this day is considered very good. Apart from this, the mother is very fond of Sitaphal, Amla, Plum, Pomegranate, Water chestnut, and Tamarind. Therefore, all these things should be offered to Goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi ji should be anointed by reciting Sahasranamavali with a wheat ear, due to which the person receives the special blessings of Mother Lakshmi.

Must read these sources
Some special sources of Goddess Lakshmi must be recited during worship on this day. Ashtalakshmi Maha Stotra should be recited on this day. Shri Sukta and Purusha Sukta should be recited on this day. Because it is said that whenever you call Lakshmi, call her along with Narayana. Because only Lakshmi who comes with Lord Narayana remains permanent in a person's house. Therefore, whenever you invoke Goddess Lakshmi, do so with Lord Narayana only.
