The Lakhpati Didi Scheme of the Modi government is a scheme under which loans are given to women without interest. This completely interest-free loan can range from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.

The government is trying to create and establish economic empowerment and financial independence among women. There is only one condition to avail the benefit of this scheme, and that is that this loan will be available only to those women who are members of the Self Help Group (SHG).
