Ladli bahana scheme was not named in the speech
Before the assembly elections in the state, the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had started the Laadli Brahmin Yojana for the empowerment of women. When the Assembly session started, everyone expected that this scheme would definitely be mentioned in the Governor's address. But, this did not happen. The opposition was attacking the lack of mention of Ladli Brahmin Scheme in Governor Patel's address and the Congress was continuously saying that the government was going to close this scheme.

Congress protested fiercely
Senior Congress leader in the Assembly, Ramniwas Rawat, while referring to the Governor's address, also raised the question as to why this scheme was not mentioned in the address. In the Governor's address, he mentioned the implementation of pension to the women victims of Bhopal gas tragedy. She is the beloved sister of the state, because of whom the government came, in reality the mistake was made by Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Had he called Modi ji's beloved sister, perhaps he would have. They don't go, but they said my dear sister, my nephews and nieces, my government, so the promise should not be against the one due to whom this government came.

He demanded that "You tell in the answer whether you will keep this scheme implemented and whether you will provide an amount of up to Rs 3,000 to the Laadli Sisters. I only want to ask that you will give it to the Laadli Sisters along with monthly financial assistance."
