Kisan Samman Nidhi: What will be the change in the three installments of Rs 2,000 each? Know here...
The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies in the NDA always claim that the interests of farmers are one of the top priorities for the government. Since the farmers' movement, farms and farmers have been in constant discussion. Now once again the farmers of Punjab have given the slogan of 'Dilli Chalo'. In such a situation, to blunt the edge of the farmers' movement, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can increase the amount of Rs 6,000 given every year in the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the budget. The PM Kisan Yojana was started in the year 2019. The special thing is that since the beginning, the amount of Samman Nidhi has not been increased even once.
As soon as Narendra Modi took charge of his third term as Prime Minister, on the very first day, he signed the file related to the release of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. From this, it can be guessed that the farmer is on the first rank in the government's priority. This time in Budget 2024, apart from increasing the money of Kisan Samman Nidhi, there can be big announcements regarding other schemes related to farming, everyone is expecting this.
9.3 crore farmers got the 17th installment
The 17th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was received by 9.3 crore farmers in the country. About 20 thousand crore rupees were distributed in the bank accounts of the farmers. According to the government data, in the 16 installments given earlier, more than 3 lakh crore rupees have been distributed to more than 12 crore 33 lakh beneficiaries under the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme.
Farmer movement stirs again.
After the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered the Haryana government to open the Shambhu border in Ambala, the farmers of Punjab announced to go to Delhi and put forward their demands again. After this announcement, the government is alert. The BJP government of Haryana has also held talks with the farmers. Now the hope is that to blunt the farmer's movement, the government will try to win the hearts of the common farmers by making a big farmer-friendly announcement in the budget.
6 thousand rupees are given in three installments
Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government deposits 6 thousand rupees every year in the bank account of the beneficiary farmer. This money is deposited in three installments of two thousand rupees each. Only one of the husband or wife gets this honorarium.
