Premium smartphone maker Apple has extended a special service for its iPhone 14 users for one year. Emergency SOS is an important service available on Apple phones. The company launched this service for iPhone 14 users last year in November 2022. After the new announcement, this service will continue for one more year i.e. till November 2024.

By using this service, many people have saved their lives in times of trouble by sending information to their close ones. For this reason, its service of Apple remains much discussed. Apple has made the users of iPhone 14 happy by providing this service for one more year without any charges.
This iPhone manufacturing company has confirmed this in a press release. The company has said that it is extending the two-year free trial of Emergency SOS via Satellite feature for iPhone 14 users for another year. “We are very pleased that iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users can take advantage of this special service for free for 2 years,” Kaien Dance, Apple's vice president of worldwide iPhone product marketing, said in the release.
Is this service available in India or not?
According to Apple, the free trial will be extended to iPhone 14 users who activated their device via satellite before 12 am PT (1:30 am IST) on November 15, 2023, in a country that supports Emergency SOS Is. Emergency SOS via satellite is currently available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK and US. No information has been received about when this facility will come to India.
Apple launched four models of the iPhone 14 lineup in September 2022 – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. After this, in November of the same year, Emergency SOS was released through a satellite feature. Initially only in the US and Canada, and later it was released in some more countries.
Depending on satellite connectivity capability, iPhone 14 users traveling off the grid, that is, in a location where there is no cellular or wireless connectivity, can also use the Find My app. Using this, you can share information about your location with friends and family through satellite.
Roadside assistance
Apple also introduced roadside assistance through satellite features in America. It connects car owners with AAA Roadside Help in case of car trouble in areas without cellular and Wi-Fi coverage. According to Apple, this feature is provided free for two years starting from the time of activation of the new iPhone 15 or 14 series models. This service will be supported on those devices which have iOS 17.
