If you are making homemade cake in a pan, then keep these things in mind
There is a lot of difference between homemade cake and market cake, let us tell you that the taste of homemade cake is not in the market one. Today we will share some tips for making cake at home.
Recently I made a cake in a pan at home for the first time. I was a little scared to make it for the first time, how will the cake turn out, what if the cake burns or what if it is not cooked, many kinds of questions were going on in my mind while making the cake. But I made the cake, making a cake in a pan was a bit challenging, but by keeping some special things in mind, you can easily make a perfect and spongy cake. While making the cake for the first time, I learned many things, which I will keep in mind when I make the cake next time.
1. Selection of pan:
Deep and heavy pan: Always use a deep and heavy pan to make a cake, so that the heat is distributed evenly and the cake can be baked well.
2. Prepare the base:
Use of salt or sand: Put salt or sand in a 1-2 inch thick layer at the bottom of the pan. This will act as an insulator and protect the cake from direct heat. Also, place a stand or a plate bowl on top of the sand or salt.
3. Right choice of cake tin:
Grease the cake tin: Grease the cake tin well and put butter paper on it so that the cake does not stick.
Place the tin in the pan: Place the cake tin on a stand or plate, so that it does not come in direct contact with the salt or sand.
4. Temperature control:
Cook on low flame: Cook the cake on full flame for 10 minutes and then cook on medium flame for the remaining 30 minutes. High flame can burn the cake from outside and remain raw from inside.
Seal the lid: Close the lid of the pan properly and seal the edges of the lid with flour, so that the heat does not escape.
5. Keep track of time:
Time and patience: The cake may take longer to cook than in a normal oven. Let the cake cook for 35-50 minutes, and do not open the lid in between.
Toothpick test: After 35-40 minutes, check by inserting a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is ready.
6. Water for steaming:
Steam baking: If you want, you can also make the cake by adding a little water in the pan. This will make the cake more moist and spongy.
7. Correct use of baking powder and soda:
Right amount: Use baking powder and baking soda in the right ratio so that the cake rises well. Using too much can make the cake bitter.
8. Preparation of the mixture:
Do not beat the mixture: When you prepare the cake batter, do not beat it too much. Mix it gently so that the air remains inside and the cake becomes spongy.
9. Cooling:
Let it cool: After the cake is made, let it cool for a while, then remove it from the tin. This keeps the texture of the cake intact.
