Ingredients to make Ragi Chilla
Ragi flour - 1 cup
Capsicum chopped - 1
Carrot chopped - 1 (optional)
Green chili - 1-2
Tomato chopped - 1
Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp
Onion chopped - 1
Chopped green onions - 1/4 cup
Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
oil - as needed
salt - as per taste
Ragi Chilla Recipe
To make Ragi Chilla, first cut onion, tomato, green chili, carrot and capsicum into fine pieces. Now take ragi flour in a vessel and mix it well by adding chopped green onions, capsicum, green coriander, and chopped carrots. Now add chaat masala and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix. After this, add water little by little to the solution and mix and prepare the batter of cheela.
Now take a nonstick pan/griddle and heat it on medium heat. After the tawa is hot, put some oil in it and spread it all around. Now take the ragi batter in a bowl and put it in the center of the griddle and spread the batter in a round shape with the bowl. Now spread finely chopped tomato, onion, and capsicum pieces over the solution. Press them lightly with the help of a ladle. After cooking for some time, turn the cheela over.
Now put a little oil on the top and sides of the cheela and roast it. Bake the cheela until it gets a little crisp. After this, take out the cheela in a plate. In the same way, prepare cheelas from the remaining batter of ragi. Tasty and healthy Ragi Chilla is ready for breakfast. Serve them with green chutney or tomato sauce.
