With the onset of winter, fenugreek arrives in the market. Methi Paratha is a traditional food item, which is very much liked. Along with improving digestion, fenugreek also helps in controlling blood sugar. It is quite easy to make it.

Wheat flour – 2 cups
Fenugreek leaves – 2 cups
Curd – 1/4 cup
Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – as per need
Salt – as per taste

- First of all, wash and dry the fenugreek and then pluck its leaves and chop them finely.
Now take a big bowl and sift the flour in it. After this add fenugreek leaves and mix it well.
Now add curd to this mixture and mix. By using curd, if there is bitterness in fenugreek, it gets reduced.
After this, add turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, carom seeds, ginger paste, and salt to this mixture and mix it well.
After this, knead the dough by adding water little by little. Also add 2 teaspoons of oil to the flour, which will make the parathas soft and crunchy.
Now cover the dough with a wet cotton cloth and keep it aside for half an hour.
- After the stipulated time, knead the dough once more and make balls of it in equal proportion.
After this, keep a nonstick pan/griddle on a medium flame for heating.

- After this, pour some oil on the pan and spread it all around. Take one dough and roll it into a circular or triangular shape like a paratha.
Now put the paratha in the pan and cook. After some time, turn the paratha and cook it on the other side by applying oil.
- Bake the paratha until it becomes golden brown and crispy and then take it out on a plate.
Similarly, prepare all the fenugreek parathas one by one. Serve it with raita, pickle or tomato chutney.
