To make South Indian Food Banana Chips at home, we will need raw bananas. First of all, take raw bananas and peel them off. The taste of banana chips also depends on the variety of bananas. The Nendra banana variety is considered the best. After peeling off the banana, grease your palms with some oil. After this, slice the banana into a long or round shape. Now put all the slices in a vessel and add turmeric and salt as per taste and mix both of them well with the banana slices.

Now pour 10-12 cups of water into the vessel and mix the banana slices well. By doing this, the color of turmeric will come off well in the banana. After keeping the banana slices in water for some time, remove all the water and keep the chips in a strainer, so that the excess water can also drain out. Now put coconut oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. After the oil is hot, add banana slices and fry them according to the capacity of the pan.


After deep frying the banana slices for a minute, turn them over and fry well from the other side as well. Fry them till they become golden brown and crispy. After that take it out on a plate. It may take up to 10 minutes for the chips to fry well. Similarly, prepare banana chips by frying all the banana slices. Chips are ready to eat after cooling down. You can also store them for a few days.
