Ingredients for making Gular curry
Sycamore – 250 grams
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Garlic - 3-4 cloves
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Green chili - 1
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
oil - as required
salt - as per taste

Method for making Gular curry
To make flavored and nutritious sycamore curry, first wash the sycamore and wipe it with a dry cloth. After this, cut them in the middle and take out the seeds and separate them. Now put the pieces of sycamore in the pressure cooker and put half a cup of water in it and cover the lid of the cooker and put it on the gas. When a whistle comes in the cooker, turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.
 
When the pressure of the cooker is released, open the lid and take out the boiled figs in a vessel. Meanwhile, cut onion, garlic, green chillies, ginger and tomato into fine pieces. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin, garlic, green chillies and fry for a few seconds. After this, add finely chopped onion and fry till its color becomes light brown.

When the onions are fried well, add all the dry spices to it and mix well. After roasting for some time, add chopped tomatoes to the vegetable and cook till it becomes soft. Lastly add boiled figs and mix it well with the spices. After this, cover the pan and let the vegetable cook for 4-5 minutes. During this, stir the vegetable once or twice. After this turn off the gas. Tasty and healthy sycamore curry is ready.
