Golden Rock, Myanmar Scared Stone Major Site for Buddhists

In Myanmar, there is a huge stone of about 25 feet in height which is stuck on the sharp slope of another stone. The local people consider this sacred and devotees throng to worship it. It is also known as the Golden Rock or Kyaktio Pagoda. It is a major pilgrimage site for the Buddhist people of Burma.
It looks different from the small size stone on which it rests and it seems that it can fall at any time. But it has remained in place for years. Thousands of people come here to worship between November and March. Locals believe that if they visit this holy place thrice a year, their wealth and fame increase.
