How many types of licenses are there?
Licenses are made for different categories from FSSAI. It depends on what business you are doing. As per the rules, FSSAI issues a basic registration, state license, and central license.

If the annual turnover of the food business is less than Rs 12 lakh, then you can get basic registration under FSSAI, which can be upgraded as the business expands.
The state-level license of FSSAI is also issued for food business with annual turnover up to Rs 20 crore.
If the annual turnover is more than Rs 20 crore, it is mandatory to get a national-level license. This license is given only to those traders whose food business is spread in other states or is engaged in import-export within the country and abroad.
If the owners or responsible people associated with the food business do not get themselves registered, they may have to pay 6 months in jail and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
