Employees' Provident Fund members have been waiting for a long time for the interest amount to be deposited in their accounts. A big update has been received from EPFO ​​for such customers. The interest money can reach the account of EPFO ​​​​members by July. For this, an official notification can be issued by the Finance Ministry soon.

Let us tell you that the Central Board of Trustees, the highest decision-making body of EPFO, approved the interest rate of 8.25% for FY 24 in February, but the formal notification is still awaited by the Finance Ministry. If sources are to be believed, it has been delayed due to the general elections. Now this work is likely to be completed by July.

How will you know if the money has arrived?
If you keep checking the passbook of your EPF account, you will know whether your EPF interest money has arrived or not. You can check the EPF passbook through the EPFO ​​​​Portal through facilities like Missed Call or SMS.

1. How to check the passbook on the EPFO ​​Portal
Step 1- First of all you go to EPFO ​​Portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php. For this, you should have your UAN (Universal Account Number) activated.

Step 2- When the site opens, go to the 'Our Services' tab and then select the drop-down menu 'For employees'.

Step 3- Click on member passbook' under the service column.

Step 4- On the next page you have to enter your UAN and Password. Log in by entering the captcha.

Step 5- After logging in, enter the member ID. After this, your EPF Balance will be visible.

2. How to check EPF passbook by missed call
You can also check your EPF balance by giving a missed call to 011- 22901406. On calling, you will get an SMS, in which your balance will be reflected. For this, you will have to enter the mobile number registered with the EPF account. Along with your PAN and Aadhaar number, your bank account number should also be linked to your UAN.

3. How to check through SMS?
Just like the missed call service, where all your important documents should be linked to UAN, only then you will be able to use this service. For this, you will have to SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG (or in place of ENG, write the code of the language in which you want the message) to 7738299899.
