Now parents will have to drop and pick up their children inside the school premises for students up to class five. The measure aims to increase the safety and security of young students. The new system will be implemented first in schools located in the Hazratganj area. After its initial implementation, it will gradually be implemented in schools in other areas of the city as well.

Control rooms will be set up in all participating schools to monitor the external traffic system. Additionally, traffic nodal officers will be deployed to ensure smooth operation.

The High Court raised concerns over the safety of school children, to which the state government responded. The Principal Secretary has been ordered to appear on September 5 to address these concerns. In response, the police department called a meeting with key stakeholders, including traffic police officials and school representatives.

Schools should arrange for proper parking facilities around their premises for both staff and parents during school opening and closing hours. The traffic police are seeking suggestions from school administrations to ensure effective implementation.
