Which is a very auspicious combination for Ravana Dahan.

Auspicious time of Ravana Dahan
Along with Ravana, the effigies of Ravana's brother Kumbhkaran and son Meghnath are also burnt during Dussehra. It is believed that Ravana Dahan should be done at an auspicious time. This has an auspicious effect. Ravana Dahan is done during the Pradosh period. The auspicious time starts from 05:22 pm on 24th October and will last till 06:59 pm. This is also the time of Vriddhi Yoga. Therefore, this auspicious time is the best time to perform Ravana Dahan.

Ravan Dahan is not done in Deoghar
According to the astrologer, in Treta Yuga, Ravana pleased Lord Shiva with his penance and forced him to go to Lanka. When Ravana was taking Lord Shiva from Kailash to Lanka in the form of a Shiva Linga, due to the conspiracy of the gods, Shiva Linga had to be installed here in Devghar and because of Ravana, people here worship Shiva. For this reason, the effigy of Ravana is not burnt in Deoghar.
