To make Methi Matar Malai at home, take 250 grams of finely chopped fenugreek. Also, 2 teaspoons oil or ghee, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1-inch ginger, 1 pinch asafoetida, 12 cashews, 6-7 black peppercorns, 2 large cardamoms, cloves, ½ inch pieces of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon garam masala, ½ Take 1/2 cup green peas, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 cup fresh cream, 3 tomatoes, 1-2 green chilies, ¼ red chili powder, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon poppy seeds and salt to taste.
Recipe to make Methi Matar Malai
To make Methi Matar Malai, first, keep fenugreek leaves in salt water for five minutes. Then filter and squeeze the fenugreek and separate the water. After this, heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. After the cumin seeds crackle, add fenugreek leaves and mix them. Now cook it on low flame for 1-2 minutes and then take it out and keep it aside.
Now add cardamom, cloves, black pepper, and cinnamon to the pan and roast it and grind it to make powder. After this, heat the oil again in the pan and cook the onion till it becomes golden. Now add 2 spoons of water to onion, ginger, garlic, cashew, and poppy seeds and blend it.
Then put this paste in the pan and stir it well. After cooking for 1-2 minutes, add tomato pulp and all the dry spices and fry them. After 2 minutes, add green peas, fenugreek, milk, sugar, salt, and fresh cream and cook on low flame while stirring. In just some time, your fenugreek peas cream will be ready and you will be able to serve it hot.
