He further said, "The effect of caffeine usually begins about 30 minutes after consumption. Apart from this, a lot depends on its use and its quantity. In many people, its effect is also delayed."

Dr. Vikas Mittal further said, "The FDA advises that caffeine intake up to 400 mg per day is generally safe for adults, but it is important to limit its intake for a good and better sleep. Especially, it should be avoided a few hours before bedtime." Caffeine is found in many foods, including chocolate, soft drinks, tea and coffee. It is also found in some medicines.
