Today Bajaj Finance, a subsidiary of Bajaj Finserv, has announced an increase in FD rates by up to 60 basis points (bps).

Let us tell you that Bajaj Finance is a non-banking financial company. The new FD rate of the bank has come into effect from 3 April 2024.

How many bps increased for how many tenures?
The company has increased the FD rate for senior citizens with a tenure of 25-35 months by 60 bps. At the same time, FDs with a tenure of 18-24 months have increased by 40 bps points.

Bajaj Finance has also increased the FD rates for the general public. Rates on FDs with tenures of 25-35 months have been increased by 45 bps, while those on FDs with tenures of 8 and 22 months have been increased by 40 bps, and those with tenures of 30 and 33 months by 35 bps. The company has issued a press release regarding the new FD rate.

If senior citizens make digital bookings of FD with a tenure of 42 months, they can avail of FD rates up to 8.85 percent. Whereas the general public will get 8.6 percent interest on this FD.

Bajaj Finance said the company has emerged as the country's largest deposit-taking NBFC with a deposit book of over Rs 60,000 crore as of March 31, 2024.
