Onion and aluminum foil hacks 

Mostly it happens to us that after cutting the onion in half, half of it is left like that. Many people keep it in the fridge. But by doing this the bacteria in onion increases more. If you cut half an onion and intend to use the remaining half within a few hours, wrap it in aluminium foil. However, it has to be used within a few hours. 

Make organic fertilizer from chopped onion and aluminium foil

If not used within a few hours, wrap the onion in aluminium foil and keep it at room temperature for a day or two. After this, keep the onion in the garden near some plant which needs acidic soil. Keep in mind that it should not be kept too close to the root. If you want, you can use it as fertilizer by adding a little soil over it. This will transfer the properties present in onion to the soil and the growth of your plant will improve. 

Aluminum foil will increase the shelf life of bananas

If you are one of those people who like to eat the banana but do not bring it home because it spoils quickly, then aluminium foil can help you in this matter. You have to wrap aluminium foil in the banana stalk. This will keep the banana fresh for a long time. 

Use aluminium foil to remove rust from iron 

There is an easy way to remove rust. Cut the aluminium foil into small pieces and then dip it in water. After this, start rubbing this aluminium foil on that surface to remove rust. The more it is rubbed, the smoother the surface will appear. Whenever you adopt this trick, keep in mind that you are wearing gloves. 

Use aluminium foil to clean pots and plates  

You crush the aluminium foil shape it into a ball and then try to rub burnt steel utensils with the same ball. By doing this, the black layer accumulated in your utensils will gradually start getting cleaned.  

Use aluminium foil balls in the washing machine 

Are you troubled by lint problems while washing clothes? On such occasions, you can put one or two balls of aluminium foil in the machine while washing clothes. This will prevent lint from getting collected and your clothes will also look clean. Yes, if you want to put them in the dryer, do not put more than one ball or else static electricity may form while drying the clothes.
