How to make a cold and refreshing Drink this summer

Aam Panna, also called Kairi Panna is a sweet and tangy drink specially made for the Indian Hot summers. Some of the well-known benefits of drinking Aam Panna are that it helps with blood disorders, and constipation issues, is packed with nutrients, improves digestion, is a great source of Vitamin C, great for the eyes, and reduces depression.

Let us now learn how to make Aam Panna at home:-

Serves 6 glasses

  • Ingredients-

1 raw green unripe mango

2 cups water

3 tbsp mint leaves

¼ cup sugar

½ tsp cardamom powder

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp black pepper powder

¾ tsp black salt

Ice cubes for serving

Cold water

  • Method-
  1. Pressure cook 1 raw green unripe mango with 2 cups of water.
  2. Cook for 5 whistles or till the mango is properly cooked.
  3. After letting it cool, peel the mango and collect the cooked mango pulp with water and blend it to make a thick paste.
  4. Put 3 tbsp mint leaves, ¼ cup sugar also in the blender to make a smooth paste.
  5. Now put ½ tsp cardamom powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder, and ¾ tsp black salt in it.
  6. Aam Panna is ready.
  7. Mix with cold water as per taste and serve with ice cubes and a garnishing of mint leaves.
