10-year-old Aadhaar will have to be updated - this is the rule

Aadhaar card is used as a major ID throughout the country. Aadhaar card is used in 1,100 schemes run by the central government. Out of these, 319 schemes are being run by the Central Government. Update on myAadhaar portal

UIDAI said in the statement that Aadhaar card holders can revise their information online by visiting the myAadhaar portal. You will have to upload your ID certificate and a copy of the document related to address proof. At the same time, if you are not able to update the information online, then you can also do it by visiting the offline Aadhaar center. Here you have to submit self self-attested copy.

Can I update it for free?

If you want to update something in your Aadhaar Card, you can do it for free till the 14th. After this, updating will cost money. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has provided the service of uploading Aadhaar details and documents. You can upload your documents in Aadhaar today through online and offline mediums.

1- First of all you have to visit the official website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.

2 - Select the Proceed option to update the address.

3 – OTP will come on the registered mobile number.

4 - Have to click on 'Document Update'. The current details of the resident will be visible.

5 – Aadhaar users will have to verify their details. If found correct, click on the next hyperlink.

6 - In the next step, proof of identity and address proof documents have to be selected from the dropdown list.

7 – A scanned copy of the address proof has to be uploaded. You have to click on the 'Submit' button. To update your documents, you will have to upload a copy of it.

8 – Finally the Aadhaar update request will be accepted and a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) will be generated.
