Ingredients for making tomato chilla
Tomato - 3-4
Gram flour – 1 cup
Onion - 1
Curd - 2 tbsp
Green chili - 3-4
Green coriander leaves - 2-3 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Red chili flakes - 1 tsp
oil - as required
salt - as per taste
How to make Tomato Chilla
To make tasty tomato cheela, first finely chop green chilies and green coriander leaves. Now wash the tomatoes and wipe them with a cotton cloth and grate them. After this, grate the onion as well. After this, take a mixing bowl and filter the gram flour in it. After this, add chili flakes, celery, chopped green chilies, and a little salt to the gram flour and mix well.
After this add grated tomato, grated onion, ginger paste, green coriander leaves, and curd to gram flour and mix all the ingredients well. After this, add water little by little and prepare a batter for the cheela.
Now place a nonstick pan/tawa on medium heat for heating. When the griddle becomes hot, put some oil on it and spread it all around. After this, take a bowl of cheela batter and pour it into the center of the griddle, and spread it in a circular motion from the bowl. After roasting the cheela for a few seconds, pour a little oil on the edges and then turn the cheela.
Now on the other side, apply oil on top of the cheela and roast it. Bake the cheela until the color of the cheela turns golden from both sides. After this, take out the tomato cheela on a plate. In the same way, prepare tomato cheela from all the cheela batter. Tasty tomato cheela is ready for breakfast. Serve them hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
