Ingredients for Soya Upma
Soybean Powder - 1 cup
Onion chopped - 1/2 cup
Cabbage chopped - 1/2 cup
Carrot grated - 1/2 cup
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Green chili - 1-2
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Lemon - 1
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Ginger grated - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - as per taste

How to make Soya Upma
To make Soya Upma, first, take hot water in a vessel and put soybean powder in it and keep it aside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, chop the onion, cabbage, and carrot. After the stipulated time squeeze the soya out and throw away the water. Now put some oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. After the oil becomes hot, add cumin and asafetida to it. When cumin seeds start spluttering, add urad dal and fry till golden brown.

Now after cooking this mixture while stirring it for some time, add salt and coriander leaves according to taste and let it cook for about 5 minutes more. When soya upma starts smelling sweet, then at last add lemon squeezed to it and switch off the gas. Tasty and nutritious soya upma is ready. Garnish and serve by placing green coriander leaves and lemon pieces on them.
