Recipe
First of all, soak the chickpeas and keep them overnight. Then take water in the cooker in the morning, add a piece of dried gooseberry, some ginger, dry red chili, salt, and turmeric and boil it. After this, put two tablespoons of oil in the pan. Then add a pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds to it. When it starts crackling, add some ginger, and tomato puree. Then add salt, turmeric, green chili, red chili, ground coriander, chole masala, kasoori fenugreek, a pinch of amchur, and black salt to it. Now fry these spices till the oil leaves. When the aroma starts coming in the spices, then add soaked chickpeas with water to it and mix it well. Now cook it on low flame. Switch off the gas after 15 minutes. Now your chickpeas without onion and garlic are ready.
