Hero: Electric two-wheelers wait, Hero will explode soon, know the date when the first scooter will be launched

Veteran two wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp had announced the Vida EV sub-brand a few months back. At the same time it was clear that Hero would launch the electric vehicle under the same brand and sell it in the domestic market as well as in the international markets. According to Sanjay Bhan, Global Business Head, Hero MotoCorp, in the next quarter of this financial year, the Veida brand will launch its first electric scooter in the Indian market and it will also be exported to Europe and South America.

Vida's first electric scooter will be officially revealed on July 1, 2022. The company has chosen Hero MotoCorp's founder late Brijmohan Lal Munjal's date of birth i.e. July 1 to present it. Hero has announced a long-term partnership with Gogoro, a Taiwanese company that specializes in providing battery swapping and other electric mobility solutions for Veida. This partnership of Hero and Gogoro can also facilitate access to global markets as Gogoro has a large network overseas.

Join hands with Bharat Petroleum
Apart from working on electric scooters, Hero MotoCorp has also joined hands with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to set up electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country. This EV charging infrastructure will support the charging of electric two-wheelers.
