When you have bowel movements less than three times a week, it is called constipation. During this, the stool becomes very hard. People's lifestyles and food habits also get spoiled in winter. Drinking less water, eating more hot foods, not exercising, drinking more tea and coffee, eating less fiber-rich foods, late dinner, having poor metabolism, etc. increase the problem of constipation. Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar on her Instagram account has advised eating some foods in the morning, which can remove the problem of constipation.

Ayurveda expert has told about some such foods, which remove the problem of constipation. Dates are one of them. It is sweet and cooling in nature. Vata and Pitta are balanced by their use. People who feel problems with constipation, hyperacidity, joint pain, hair fall, and low energy can consume dates. Eat 2-3 dates soaked in water in the morning on an empty stomach with lukewarm water.

You can also consume fenugreek seeds to prevent problem of constipation. Put one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in water at night and keep it. Consume it empty stomach in the morning. You can also make its powder and sleep by consuming 1 tsp with lukewarm water before going to bed at night. Those who have excess bile problems, should not eat it.

Eating cow's ghee improves metabolism. It helps in maintaining healthy fat in the body. This (healthy fat) is essential for absorbing fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. Mixing a small spoon of cow's ghee in a glass of hot cow's milk and drinking it gets rid of chronic constipation.

Amla is also a great laxative. It is available in abundance in winter. Immunity is strengthened by its use. There is no problem with hair fall, untimely graying, or weight loss. If you consume it regularly in the morning on an empty stomach, there will be many other health benefits, and the problem of constipation will also go away. You can take 1 tsp amla powder or 3 fresh amla juice (during winter). Amla is healthy for all Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Soak raisins in water overnight. Especially, black raisins, because it has a high fiber content. Due to this, the bowl movement is correct, the stool is loose. It is easily digested by eating raisins soaked in water. Consume a handful of raisins soaked in water on an empty stomach in the morning. It is better for Pitta-affected people.
