Ingredients to make Matar Nimone
Fresh green peas
onion paste
tomato 2
a pinch of asafoetida
Ginger 1 tbsp chopped
Garlic 5-6 cloves
Coriander powder 1 tsp
red chili powder half teaspoon
turmeric powder half teaspoon
half teaspoon cumin
Bay leaf
green cardamom 3
cloves 2
cinnamon 1 piece
salt to taste
oil 1 tbsp
ghee or butter
green coriander finely chopped


Matar Ka Nimona Recipe
First, grind half the peas finely in the mixer and grind half the peas coarsely.
Now make ginger-garlic paste.
Also crush the whole spices cumin, cinnamon, cloves and green cardamom.
Heat ghee or butter in a pan, then add asafoetida and ground peas and stir.
Now heat oil in another pan and add bay leaf and fry it after adding onion paste.
When the onion turns brown, add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder and salt to it and fry on medium heat till oil separates.
Now add tomato puree to it and cook for a while.
Add ground peas paste to it and cook the vegetable for 15-20 minutes by adding water as needed.
Nimona is ready, now add coriander to it and serve it with roti or paratha.
