Dahi Bhindi Recipe: Dahi Bhindi is a gravy vegetable and its taste is also very strong. If you have not tried the Dahi Bhindi recipe till now, then with the help of our recipe, you can make Dahi Bhindi very easily.

Ingredients for making Dahi Bhindi
Bhindi - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1
Curd - one and a half cup
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
Green cardamom - 2-3
bay leaf - 1
Green coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Oil - 4-5 tbsp
Salt - as per taste

How to make Dahi Bhindi
To make Dahi bhindi full of taste, first, wash and wipe the bhindi. After that cut it into pieces. Now finely chop the onion and green coriander leaves. After this, put 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add chopped ladyfinger and fry it for some time. When the color of the bhindi starts changing, turn off the gas and take it out in a bowl and keep it aside.

Now put some more oil in the pan and after that add cumin, bay leaf, cardamom, and kasoori fenugreek and fry it. Let the spices cook on low flame. After some time, when the spices start smelling, then add finely chopped onion, and ginger-garlic paste and fry. Fry them till the onions become soft and turn golden in color. After this, add all the dry spices including turmeric, coriander powder, and red chili, and saute it.

After cooking the onion and all the spices for some time, add curd to it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. After some time, when the oil starts separating from the spices and curd, then add fried ladyfinger and salt as per taste and mix it. After this, cover the pan and cook the vegetable for another 6-7 minutes. Finally, put green coriander leaves and switch off the gas. Delicious Dahi Bhindi is ready. Serve it with roti, paratha, or rice.
