Amazon Prime Video launched pay-per-view feature, now users will be able to watch movies on rent

Popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video has announced the launch of a new Prime Video store transaction video-on-demand i.e. TVoD in India that will make individual movies available on rent. Present as a separate tab within the Prime Video app and website, the pay-per-view service can be accessed by Prime subscribers as well as non-Prime subscribers.

For a one-time viewing, a payment of Rs 99 to Rs 499 will have to be made. The film will be available on rent after 30 days of purchase and will have to be completed within 48 hours once it starts. Apart from this, Amazon Prime Video has claimed that 40 films and series will be introduced on the platform in the coming days. The company plans to launch several original series and films in the next 24 months.


Amazon Prime Video completes 5 years in India
It is worth noting that on-demand streaming service Amazon Prime Video has completed 5 years in India. On this occasion, at an event in Mumbai, web-series and films were told about the upcoming web-series on Prime Video this year. Series and movies like 'Fake', 'Gulkand Tales', 'Happy Family Conditions Apply' are going to come on Prime Video this year.
